We’re not sure what Matlin’s life was like before she came to Sheltering Hands, but it’s better now.  Despite having a few scars on her body, she has not let it deter her from wanting to be loved and to love people.  Take your time reaching out to her and you will find an adorably sweet girl who wants to be your friend.

Volunteer Update:   Matlin is an amazing kitty.  Despite being deaf, she is outgoing, confident and affectionate.  Of course since she's deaf doorbells, vacuum cleaners or other loud noises don't send her running.   If you get her attention and then put your hand towards the floor gently tapping your fingers and thumb together, Matlin will come over to you.  She has learned that signal means she'll get some good pets.
