If you were setting Lake up on a blind date you might say “she has a great personality!”  It’s true she’s not the prettiest kitty, she has a droopy eye that easily tears up, her coat is not as shiny as some, and she has a snort like sound to her breathing.  But if you want a kitty who will greet you when you come home, who will crawl up on your chest and reach her paw out to touch your cheek, who will sit on your shoulder and purr in your ear, who will curl up in bed with you and who will give you sandpaper kisses on your chin.  Lake is the girl for you.   If you get busy and don't have time for her, Lake will entertain herself with a few kitty toys or a window to look out.

Foster Update:  If you adopt Lake you must have a good sense of humor!  This girl loves life and is curious and into everything.  When she's bored, she likes to play fetch.  She will bring you toys to throw, runs and gets them and brings them back.  She loves running water and will drink out of any faucet you want.  One of her favorite activities is a pencil cup and she thinks it's her job to make sure there are no pencils in there.  She is by far the most entertaining cat I've every fostered.

Volunteer Update:  We can't understand why Lake hasn't been adopted.  She is outgoing, loves attention and laptime and looks like a little Florida Panther.  Her jaw has a square shape just like a panther and she has the shiniest black fur.  Her eye still has a bit of a droop to it, but other than that it is a healthy functional eye.
