Hi I'm Knox,

I’ve been with Sheltering Hands since I was a baby and frankly a shelter environment is not ideal for me.  I’m naturally reserved and need someone with patience and encouragement to help me show my affectionate side.   My tendency is to keep my distance from people and move away or tense up when someone wants to pet me.  I need someone who will respect my boundaries and give me space and time to feel safe and comfortable. 

Volunteer Update:  There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a normally reticent kitty trust you.  The first time they curl up next to you or just lean in and enjoy your touch your heart will be full and warm.
