Hi there! My name is Emerald, and I have a heart just as big as my purr. I got my name because I was found on Saint Patrick’s Day, tucked away in a horse trailer of all places—tiny, helpless, and in need of some serious love. I may have had a rough start, but being a bottle baby meant I got to grow up with a special kind of closeness to humans. I don’t just tolerate people—I truly get them. I’m incredibly sweet (at least, that’s what everyone tells me!), and I’ve never met a cat I didn’t like. I love being around other kitties—playing chase, curling up for naps, or just climbing all over our cat towers together. Climbing is my favorite kind of adventure. Give me a tall cat tree and I’ll be at the top in seconds, surveying my kingdom with wide eyes and twitchy whiskers. I guess what makes me a little different is how much I love being around my people. I’ll follow you from room to room, snuggle in your lap, or just watch you with curious eyes while you go about your day. Some say I act more like a little shadow than a kitten. But hey, when you've been hand-fed and held close since the very beginning, you learn early that people can be pretty great. So that’s me—Emerald. A lucky little black kitten with a heart full of love and a purr you can feel in your bones.
